About one week before your property is due to close, please
call the applicable utility centers and ask them to do a final reading on
your property. The final reading date should be for the date that you are
scheduled to give up possession of the property. Please do not have the
utilities “turned-off” because this will cause your new buyer to have
expensive re-connect fees.
BUYERS:
About one week before you are scheduled to close on your new
property, please call the applicable utility centers and ask them to transfer
the utilities into your name. The transfer date should be the date
that you are taking possession of your new home!
